Circle Crash Kills 1

A Circle man died in a car crash early Sunday morning. Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) said the 22-year old man turned over his GMC Sierra near the 15-mile marker along Highway 252. MHP believes the driver lost control due to excessive speed. Police suspect the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

The police report said the Sierra slid off the road before overturning and ejecting the driver from the vehicle. The driver was reported to not be wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene. MHP reported that no other party was involved in the accident.

The name of the driver has yet to be released. Montana law requires the deceased’s relatives be notified before the media.

There have been 9 roadway deaths so far this year.
