Roll-over Crash Injures 1

One man was injured in a roll-over crash late last week near Hauser Lake. Emergency responders arrived at the scene of the roll-over crash and successfully treated the man.

Montana Highway Patrol say the accident occurred just before 2 p.m. on Thursday. The injured man is reported to be a Helena resident and in his 70’s. The Helena man lost control of his SUV at a bend near the 4400 block of York Road. The SUV then rolled over and went airborne once it struck the curb of a driveway. As the vehicle rolled over it smashed a fence before coming to a stop upside down near a pond.

“He made the decision to wear his seat belt today,” said Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Tom Kruse, crediting the Helena man for taking the necessary safety precautions that saved his own life in his roll-over crash.

The Helena man was later taken to St. Peter’s hospital after the roll-over crash.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
